meditacious
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 8, 2026 · Last Updated: October 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how meditacious by Hitesh Sompura ("meditacious", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the meditacious Android app and the website https://meditacious.com.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google or with email and password, we receive your name, email address, and (with Google) your profile photo link. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see your Google password.
Practice information. To keep your practice and progress, we store the awareness practice and meditation you chose, your commitment length and start date, and summary statistics such as your streak, days and minutes practised, sessions completed, the date you last practised, and milestones reached.
Membership and payment information. If you buy a Basic or Advanced plan, we store your plan, its status and renewal date, and a record of each payment (amount, date, status and payment method type). Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN, bank account details or other payment credentials.
Device information. We store the app version, the device platform (Android) and a notification token, so we can send you app updates and messages about meditacious.
Information that stays on your phone. Your reminder settings, reminder and completion sound choices, and a profile photo you choose from your phone's gallery are kept on your device. Meditations you save for offline use are stored on your device.
Contact. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the app: your practices, reminders, progress, milestones and meditations.
- To keep your practice and membership with your account.
- To process subscriptions, renewals and cancellations through Razorpay.
- To send reminders you set up (scheduled on your device) and app notifications.
- To offer app updates and answer your support requests.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. The 30-Day Circle
If you are a Basic or Advanced member, the 30-Day Circle shows other members your first name and initial and your practice days. It is visible only to Basic and Advanced members.
4. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run meditacious, and they process data only to provide their service:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging and Hosting), for sign-in, data storage, app content, notifications and this website.
- Razorpay, for payment processing and subscriptions.
- Google Sign-In, if you choose to sign in with Google.
We may also share information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of meditacious.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). Before deletion, the app stops any active subscription so you are not charged again; your account, profile, practice and progress information are then deleted. Payment records may be kept where needed for accounting, tax or legal reasons.
You can also ask us to delete your information by writing to meditacious@gmail.com.
6. Your choices
- Change your practices, reminders and sounds at any time in the app.
- Turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
- Cancel a subscription at any time in the app (Profile → My Subscription); your plan stays open until the end of the period you paid for.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it.
7. Security
Your information is stored with Google Firebase and protected by access rules so that each member can read only their own account data. Payments are handled by Razorpay. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
8. Children
meditacious is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Health information
meditacious is a practice of awareness and meditation. It is not a medical service, and we do not ask for or store medical or health records.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last Updated" date above shows when it last changed. Important changes will be announced in the app or on this website.
